I wanted to create something personal for you to have. You've taken the time to listen to my new album 'Geoff II' - but apart from the wonderful memories of hearing it for the first time, all the exclusive stories behind it and our Interactive Experience, there's nothing to remember the experience by... until now!
Introducing the unique BOOTLEG EDITION of GEOFF II!
Each CD is personalised, handmade and numbered by me - with an option for a hand-signed version too! Every single one is made individually and will be unique to you! There are even a couple of goodies that come with it - but I won't spoil what they are.
CDs may seem a bit old fashioned, but when it comes to my music the old ways are the best. I want you to have something to have and to hold forever! A keepsake from the time we've shared together listening to it.
If you want to stream the album, there's a QR on the back that leads you to all your favourite listening platforms, too. But most importantly, however you enjoy it, make sure you do it with a cuppa.
So if you want your very own copy, order one below and I'll make you one myself!
ONE MORE THING...
I couldn't resist sharing a few more stories about the album with you...
Just when you thought the Interactive Experience was over - I've got more exclusive content to share with you!
THE SINGLES THAT SHAPED THE ALBUM
Geoff II in 60 seconds - here's the story behind the three singles that shaped GEOFF II - 'Mondays', 'Cinema' and 'Boyfriend'
THE BONUS FEATURES
MONDAYS
When you left So the story goes They say no one knows Why you made that call
Until then It was you and me What a pair we’d be I could see it all
And I’ve tried so hard with others, when I’m with them I see you When I think I’m on to something good It lasts a day or two
Mondays are for pretty girls and driving in my car Tuesdays are for breaking down and wondering where you are And the rest of the week is a blur as I try to forget The lady that I’m just not over yet
Even now In this perfect place You’re another face That I can’t forget
Trust me, babe How I look around And I’ve still not found Noone like you yet
Forgive me cause I know it’s wrong but I still look you up. I think about your little life and pray that we make up But ‘til then
CHORUS
Not over yet…
When we’re old And our kids have grown When you’re all alone Will you think of me?
If I go Would you feel the same? Would you keep the flame That is meant to be?
THE VOICE MEMOS
I love using my Voice Memos to make quick sketches of my songs as I write them! It's a great way of getting ideas down so you can come back to them later and flesh them out - here are the extremely rough beginnings of 'Mondays' and 'Boyfriend'.
'Cinema' was also on 'Here, of All Places' - an album made with my band The Usual Ones. It was originally called 'Green' and was performed by the wonderful Sam Julian.
CINEMA
I know that I’ve missed my chance And you’re doing so much better now he’s with you
But I let my imagination run away And think of all the little things we’d do
Cover my eyes, cos I don’t wanna see You with another man - a man that isn’t me.
I could take you to a cinema Show you things that you’ve never ever seen before We could just stay in if you’d prefer Grab some drinks and get to know each other more Just leave your boyfriend at the door
You know, I feel sorry for him He’s left our while we have all the fun
He’ll feel nothing but jealousy When you tell him, ‘bout all the things we’ve done
Put on that dress, I’ll pick you up at eight We’ve tickets for a show, we don’t wanna be…late.
I could take you to a cinema Show you things that you’ve never ever seen before We could just stay in if you’d prefer Have some drinks and get to know each other more
But I know it’s all pretend And to your man you’ll go I’ll keep these thoughts all to myself With things you’ll never know.
He can take you to a cinema Show you things that you’ve never ever seen before And he’s the one that you prefer So I won’t be taking you out anymore But I can still pretend...
Let me take you to a cinema Show you things that you’ve never ever seen before We could just stay in if you’d prefer Grab some drinks and get to know each other more Just leave your boyfriend at the door Won’t you leave him at the door?
Cover my eyes, cos I don’t wanna see You with another man - a man that isn’t me.
BOYFRIEND
Everywhere I go, I take you with me
Picture this, she reads She doesn’t suffer fools She never takes no for an answer And when she’s out, She’s always turning heads As a million guys try to romance her
And if you’d paint the perfect girl With looks beyond compare With a touch of her magic If the picture came to life You’d see her standing there
Picture this, he’s smart He doesn’t have a clue You’d miss him taking cursory glances To her, they say, he surely don’t exist But it won’t stop him taking his chances
They say ‘it’s impossible’ But he’s gonna catch her eye He’ll pluck up the courage Sweep her off her feet While others pass her by
He says…
If you’d like a total chance of scenery You could take a chance And run away with me And if you’ve got no plans this weekend I think I know a guy who’d like to be your boyfriend
Picture this, he waits A twinkle in his eye By the bar on the corner of Main Street They said a time, of course she’s running late But she can’t wait to spend it with him
Oh and how the hours pass by The conversation flows It shows, when you let it, With the right pair of hearts That love just grows and grows
She said
If you’d like a total chance of scenery You could take a chance And run away with me And if you’ve got no plans this weekend I think I know a gal who’d like to be your girlfriend
You should know Before we hit the road To the thousands of places we could be High or low It don’t matter where we go Just as long as I can take you with me
Won’t you be my girlfriend? And I can be your boyfriend…
